JetBlue: No injuries after landing gear problem at Bahamas airport

A JetBlue plane landing in the Bahamas' Nassau airport this evening ran into trouble on the tarmac when the plane's nose gear failed to function properly, according to an airport agent.

There were no injuries reported from the 93 passengers and four crew members on board, JetBlue said.

According to a statement from the airliner, JetBlue flight 29 from Washington National Airport to Nassau, Bahamas reported a landing-gear malfunction prior to arrival.

The plane landed shortly after 4:30 p.m., using the aircraft's rear gear with the plane's nose partially extended, according to JetBlue's statement.

Response crews were on-site to meet the plane on the runway to ensure passengers' safety, it said.

No injuries have been reported, according the airliner.
