Jamie Lee Curtis is standing up for “Freaky Friday” co-star Lindsay Lohan following the unearthing of some degrading comments about her made by Donald Trump 12 years ago.
Audio of a 2004 interview between Trump and Howard Stern was released Friday. During the chat, the conversation turned to the subject of Lohan, who was 18 at the time of the interview.
“What do you think of Lindsay Lohan?” Trump asked Stern. “There’s something there, right? But you have to like freckles. I’ve seen a close-up of her chest. And a lot of freckles. Are you into freckles?”
Later, the discussion turned to Lohan’s personal problems, including her father’s legal battles, prompting Stern to ask, “Can you imagine the sex with this troubled teen?”
Trump’s response? “She’s probably deeply troubled, and therefore great in bed. How come the deeply troubled women -- deeply, deeply troubled -- they’re always the best in bed?”
Curtis, who co-starred with Lohan in “Freaky Friday” the year before the interview, was not pleased, taking to Twitter to slam the now-GOP nominee for president.
“How dare you. She needed help,” Curtis tweeted. “Yeah, you’re probably right, she’s probably deeply troubled and therefore great in bed.”
Curtis also took Trump to task for his response at a rally last week to allegations of sexual misconduct and groping by a People magazine writer.
“Trump denied groping a woman by her looks,” she tweeted. “‘Take a look. You take a look, look at her, you tell me what you think. I don’t think so.’”
Following her strongly worded Twitter reply, Curtis spoke to ET about the topic, revealing that she’d spoken to Lohan, who was “grateful” for her co-star’s support.
“It was incredibly disturbing to hear someone that is up for the [presidency] of the United States talking about a teenage girl in the way that he did,” Curtis said Saturday.
“How dare anyone, let alone a man in that position, make comments like that when clearly she was having difficulties in her life,” she added. “She’s doing beautiful relief work with children in Syria. She’s in Athens right now. She is doing very well. I’m sorry that we all had to hear that and, then again, maybe it was helpful that we all heard it.”
