J.K. Rowling responds to fan who "can't see" Dumbledore as gay
J.K. Rowling's Twitter account is a magical place, where she gives cryptic hints about future projects and sometimes answers questions about the "Harry Potter" universe.
It's also where she's spoken out in support of LGBT issues, and this week where she fired off the perfect response to one fan who questioned why Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore is gay.
"Thank you so much for writing Harry Potter. I wonder why you said that Dumbledore is a gay because I can't see him in that way," the fan wrote.
Rowling's response was short and to the point:

The user appears to have since deleted her account, but Rowling's reply has been retweeted more than 8,000 times.
Rowling revealed Dumbledore's sexuality in 2007. In the film adaptations of the "Potter" books, the character was first played by the late Richard Harris and then Michael Gambon.
