Is your vehicle affected by GM's big recall?
General Motors (GM) on Friday announced that it is recalling 3.6 million vehicles in the U.S. because of a software problem that can prevent front air bags from inflating in a crash.
The defect, which may also impair a vehicle’s seat belts normal functioning, has been linked to one death and several injuries. Following are the vehicles and model years affected by the recall:
- Buick Encore 2014-2017
- Buick LaCrosse 2014-2016
- Cadillac Escalade 2015-2017
- Cadillac Escalade ESV 2015-2017
- Chevrolet Caprice Police Pursuit 2014-2017
- Chevrolet Corvette 2014-2017
- Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2014-2017
- Chevrolet Silverado 2500 2015-2017
- Chevrolet Silverado 3500 2015-2017
- Chevrolet Spark EV 2014-2016
- Chevrolet SS 2014-2016
- Chevrolet Tahoe 2015-2017
- Chevrolet Trax 2014-2017
- Chevrolet Suburban 2015-2017
- GMC Sierra 1500 2014-2017
- GMC Sierra 2500 2015-2017
- GMC Sierra 3500 2015-2017
- GMC Yukon 2015-2017
- GMC Yukon XL 2015-2017
