Is this Happy Meal Minion swearing?
Have the bean-shaped, jibberish-spewing, overall-wearing Minions betrayed parents?
McDonald's (MCD) says some customers have complained that a talking toy inspired by the movie "Minions" included in recent Happy Meals uses a certain curse word.
The fast-food restaurant introduced a Happy Meal with toys inspired by the movie "Minions" on July 3.
Since then, a few concerned parents have taken to the internet to voice their concerns. McDonald's has issued a hilarious statement saying the sounds the small yellow figures make are nonsense words, nothing offensive or profane.
"Minions speak 'Minionese' which is a random combination of many languages and nonsense words and sounds," the statement says. "'Minionese' has no translation to, or meaning in any recognized language."
"Any perceived similarities to words used within the English language is purely coincidental."
The statement also says "a very small number of customers" have been in touch with the company about the toy. McDonald's says there are no plans to stop distribution of the toy.

Some people took to Twitter to discuss the "issue."
"Minions," a prequel of the "Despicable Me" movies, premieres today.
