Is "Bad Blood" about Katy Perry? Taylor Swift weighs in
Ever since Taylor Swift released the single "Bad Blood," fans have wondered who the pop starlet wrote the song about.
Could it be Katy Perry? The pair have reportedly had some beef over the years, so the "Roar" singer seemed liked she could have been a possible target.
In a new interview with GQ, Swift weighs in -- making it clear the hit song is not about one person necessarily.
"I never said anything that would point a finger in the specific direction of one specific person, and I can sleep at night knowing that," Swift said. "I knew the song would be assigned to a person, and the easiest mark was someone who I didn't want to be labeled with this song. It was not a song about heartbreak. It was about the loss of friendship."
Oh, and about all the girls she pals around with as part of her squad, there might be something to that ...
"I honestly think my lack of female friendships in high school and middle school is why my female friendships are so important now," she told the magazine. "Because I always wanted them. It was just hard for me to have friends."
