Idris Elba vehemently denies Madonna dating rumors

Idris Elba is shutting down another rumor -- and this one isn’t about James Bond.

The “Luther” star found himself at the center of a whole new brand of speculation Monday, so he took to Twitter to set the record straight as quickly as possible -- and he did not mince his words.

This weekend, tabloids began reporting that Elba had been spotted Friday night making out with Madonna at a London restaurant. 

“Am I sleeping with Madonna? No motherf***ers,” he tweeted early Monday morning. “’Don’t believe the Hype.’”

But Elba and the singer are at least friends, as he tweeted a photo of the pair a year ago on stage holding following one of her shows, along with the caption, “Legend.”

And Madonna was with Elba Friday night, as she’d sat ringside for his latest match as a boxer for his upcoming documentary series, “Idris Elba: Fighter.”
