High school soccer coach accused of having sex with boy, 13
MINNEAPOLIS - The head soccer coach at a Minnesota high school is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old boy at his home last summer, according to charges filed Tuesday, reports CBS Minnesota.
Rebecca Lee Noonan, 31, is charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a child 13 to 15-years-old and fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct involving non-consensual sexual contact.
Noonan was reportedly arrested Monday and booked into the Anoka County Jail. She was released Tuesday on $50,000 bail.
According to the charges, Noonan was at the alleged victim's home in Ramsey last August or September while his mother wasn't home. Noonan was reportedly friends with the boy's mother.
Noonan is accused of going into the boy's room, undressing, getting into his bed and having sex with him.
She allegedly told the boy to keep the encounter a secret because she said she could go to jail for a long time.
The alleged victim reportedly told his siblings about the incident and told them not to say anything. His siblings, however, went on to tell police.
Jim Skelly, a spokesperson for the Anoka-Hennepin school district, for which Noonan worked, said in a statement that, "It's important to note this did not take place around Champlin Park High School or on school property."
Skelly added that he planned to launch an internal investigation into the matter and said he was not aware of any history of misconduct.

The school district says they are waiting to get more information before making any decisions.
Noonan reportedly faces up to 16 years in prison if found guilty.
