High school senior possibly world's largest football player

LOS ANGELES -- A high school senior in California may be the largest football player in the world, reports CBS Los Angeles.

John Krahn, also known as "Junior," is taller than any player in the NFL. He stands at 7-feet tall and weighs over 400 pounds.

And he is only 17 years old.

Krahn is a linemen for Martin Luther King High School in Riverside, Calif. On Friday night, he had his game face on as his high school took on the Rancho Santa Margarita Eagles.

"We got that work hard mentality," Krahn said. "Put your hat on and let's go work. We gotta do what we gotta do."

Krahn's older sister, Miranda, was in the stands cheering on her little brother.

"I just get goosebumps walking in, the Friday night lights, knowing he's on the field. People are watching their kids play, but you can't miss my brother," she said.

But Krahn's mother, Cindy, told CBS LA it hasn't always been easy for her son.

"You know like, he can't go to Disneyland, because he can't fit in any of the rides," she explained.

For Krahn though, football has always been an important part of his life.

"I love it. It's my life. It's been my dream since I was in 3rd grade," he said.

Krahn is looking at a college in Montana, but tells CBS LA he has aspirations to one day play in the NFL.

"I would love for him to play for the 49ers," said his mother Cindy.

But his dad said school still comes first.

"His education is number one," he told CBS LA.

Krahn says if he is unable to play in the NFL, he hopes to one day be a police officer.
