Heart-stopping near miss with train in California caught on video
Feet don't fail me now.
In Redwood City, Calif., a lucky pedestrian barely escaped with his life when he scampered across some train tracks a split second before a train zipped by at a high speed.
In an incident captured on surveillance video, a group of people run across the tracks that commuter trains were active on, even though the guard rails were down.
After they pass, a man hesitates for a second before jogging across the tracks, avoiding getting hit by mere inches by a speeding locomotive that can be heard blaring its horn.
Caltrain says incidents like this throw the whole system into a slowdown as near misses have to be investigated.
