"Hamilton" Tony winner Daveed Diggs joins "Black-ish" for season 3

Nice work if you can get it.

Fresh off his Tony-winning run in "Hamilton," Daveed Diggs is making a new home on network TV by joining the ABC sitcom "Black-ish" for its third season, Variety reported Wednesday.

Diggs will have a major arc beginning early in season 3 as Johan, the hipster brother of Rainbow Johnson (Tracee Ellis Ross), who clashes with less-laid-back dad Dre Johnson (Anthony Anderson).

"He's sort of a hipster, entitled kid who gets on Dre's nerves," series creator Kenya Barris said. "He's constantly on a search for the best conditioner for his hair. He's probably gone to Penn or Wharton and could have gotten a great-paying job, but he's trying to find himself. That attitude more than anything makes Dre want to strangle him."

Diggs won a Tony last month for his dual portrayals of Thomas Jefferson and the Marquis de Lafayette on Broadway in "Hamilton."
