"Hamilton" creator shares how to help Orlando following shooting

NEW YORK -- At Hamilton's latest #Ham4Ham, an impromptu concert on the street in NYC before the Tony-award winning show, star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda encouraged people to donate to Orlando victims following the Pulse nightclub shooting that left 49 people dead, and dozens more injured.

"As you know, we had a horrific tragedy on Sunday morning," Miranda said. "And a lot of people are asking how they can help."

Miranda directed people to a GoFundMe page, setup by Equality Florida. So far, the page has raised over $4.5 million.

Also at Tuesday's #Ham4Ham, Miranda invited former "In The Heights" cast member Andrea Burns, currently in "On Your Feet," to perform a tribute to the victims.

Burns sang a powerful a capella version of, "What I Did For Love."

This isn't Miranda's first tribute to Orlando.

At the Tony Awards on Sunday, Miranda recited a new poetic work, inspired by his wife and dedicated to the victims of the mass shooting

"I'm not freestyling, I'm too old," he told the crowd while accepting the Tony for Best Original Score. "I wrote you a sonnet instead."
