How many calories in that burger? Google knows

Want to know the calories and fat content in your favorite fast food meals? Before heading over to McDonald's for a Big Mac, or to Burger King for a Whopper, you can now ask Google.

Simply Google the name of the food item and a box appears at the top of the screen with total calories and other nutrition information. Depending on the food item searched, drop-down menus provide information for item variations, such as with sauce.

For even more detailed information, you can search for a fast food chain's full menu. For example, type "McDonald's nutrition" and a scrollable list of menu items and their calorie counts appears on the top of the page. When you click on any of the items, detailed information appears like a nutritional label on the right side of the screen.

Data was provided by Nutritionix, a nutrition and restaurant database company that now integrates with Google's Knowledge Graph.

There is information on an exhaustive number of major fast food chains including Taco Bell, Wendy's, Starbucks, Chili's and Dunkin' Donuts. So now you can know before you go.
