George Clooney takes futuristic ride in "Tomorrowland" teaser
George Clooney is preparing for a memorable trip to "Tomorrowland."
The newlywed actor will be starring in the upcoming film (inspired by Disney's theme park attractions) from writer and director Brad Bird -- known for 1999's "The Iron Giant" and 2011's "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol."
Clooney plays a past-his-prime inventor who teams up with a Florida teen (Britt Robertson) for a journey across time and space.
Judy Greer and Hugh Laurie also star.
According to Deadline, Clooney made a surprise appearance Thursday at New York's Comic-Con, where he joined Bird, co-writer Damon Lindelof and several of his co-stars to present the first teaser clip for the film.
"What if there was a place, a secret place, where nothing was impossible?" Clooney's character can be heard asking at one point in the trailer.
We'll find out when "Tomorrowland" arrives in theaters on May 22, 2015.
