That time George and Amal Clooney met the Pope
How's this for rubbing elbows with bold-face names?
George and Amal Clooney got some face-time with none other than Pope Francis at a reception in Vatican City on Sunday. The couple was in the Catholic capitol for George's receiving of a medal for his work with the Pope's Scholas Occurrentes organization.
George will also serve as an ambassador for one of the foundation's art projects -- along with fellow ambassadors Richard Gere and Salma Hayek, who were also in attendance -- according to Reuters.
So what do you wear when meeting with the Pope? Amal donned a black lace Atelier Versace dress, a matching turban hat and Jimmy Choos, while a freshly shaved George stuck to a suit, white shirt and striped tie, according to People magazine.
