Four prisoners escape from Mississippi jail, two still at large
RAYMOND, Miss. -- Authorities say three prisoners discovered missing from a Mississippi jail during bed check are still at large.
Officials say a total of four prisoners fled around 12:45 a.m. Monday from the jail in the small town of Raymond. Nineteen-year-old Jermaine Wilson was found and arrested 18 hours later in Jackson, about 10 miles away.
Deputies and U.S. marshals were chasing leads Tuesday on the remaining three fugitives.
Sheriff Tyrone Lewis tells local media outlets it appears the men had help from inside and outside the prison. He called the escape "prearranged and preplanned," but didn't elaborate.
According to CBS affiliate WJTV, another escapee was captured early this afternoon. The Hinds County Sheriff's Department has not said which escapee is back in custody. He could be: 25-year-old Montreal Damon Anderson, 23-year-old John Rollins; or 18-year-old Kevin Holmes. Two of which are still on the run.
Wilson was being held on a capital murder charge. Charges for the others include armed robbery and auto theft.
