Former "Mob Wives" star gets probation in embezzlement case

NEW YORK - Alicia DiMichele, a former star of the reality TV series "Mob Wives," was sentenced to four years probation Thursday for embezzling money from a union welfare fund, reports the New York Daily News.

The 41-year-old DiMichele reportedly apologized during the sentencing hearing for her role in a scheme that diverted money from a trucking company owned by her husband, Edward "Tall Guy" Garofalo Jr.

Garofalo is currently serving a seven year prison sentence for murder conspiracy.

DiMichele, a mother of three, was facing up to six months in prison under a plea agreement. Instead, she will be on probation for four years and will have to pay $40,000 in restitution.

Judge Sandra Townes reportedly warned DiMichele in handing down the sentence, "I don't want to see you again."
