FSU student goes missing after watching Super Bowl

WILTON MANORS, Fla. - Authorities are looking for a Florida State University student who was last seen over a week ago.

Ryan Uhre, 23, of Weston, was reported missing by friends on February 7. He was last seen Sunday, Feb. 2 at around 8:30 p.m. at a Tallahassee bar where he was reportedly watching the Super Bowl with friends. According to a news release by the FSU Police Department, Uhre left the bar alone and did not show up at home later that night. Family and friends have not heard from him since.

According to the news release, there is no indication of foul play, however it has been reported that it is usual for Uhre not to contact friends or family for this length of time.

"It's unfathomable, it's heartbreaking," Uhre's father, Mike Uhre, told CBS affiliate WCTV.

He said his son did not show up to work or his internship last week.

The 23-year-old graduated from FSU in December, but continues to take a class there this semester, reports the station.

Uhre’s father told the station police determined his son’s phone was turned on briefly the afternoon of February 6.

“His phone was turned on and off and it pinged from the Pompano Beach area,” Mike Uhre said.

Anyone with information on whereabouts of Ryan Uhre is asked to contact authorities.
