Flavor Flav pleads no contest to DUI charge in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS -- The entertainer Flavor Flav has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor driving under the influence in a Las Vegas case stemming from a traffic stop last May.
The plea Monday means the 56-year-old rapper and reality television star acknowledged that he had marijuana residue in his system when he was clocked going 87 mph in a 65-mph zone. It was his second plea in two weeks involving similar charges.
His attorney says he also pleaded no contest Jan. 25 to having marijuana metabolite in his system when he was found asleep in the front seat of a vehicle on the side of a street in August.
The rapper's real name is William Drayton Jr.
In each case, Drayton was fined $685 and ordered to attend a victim impact panel and drunken driving school.
