Firebomb attempt at German paper keeps Europe on high alert

A German newspaper that reprinted the Charlie Hebdo cartoons has been attacked by arsonists. CBS News correspondent Mark Phillips was in Dresden, Germany and gives an analysis. He said the offices of the Hamburg Morning Post were firebombed and two men, who allegedly threw a firebomb through one of the paper's windows, were later picked up.

"Luckily, there was no one in the building at the time, and there was very little damage but it is very worrying," said Phillips. There was another incident in Brussels today where a newspaper received a bomb threat."

Phillips said all of the threats are presumably from people sympathetic to the attackers in Paris. With some still out there, a worry exists that other attacks could happen.

France remains on high alert while investigators determine whether the attackers were part of a larger extremist network. More than 5,500 police and soldiers were deployed on Sunday across France, guarding marches, synagogues, mosques, schools and other sites.

Phillips says there's a fear of a spiral of violence both from radicalized Muslims and also from anti-immigration groups inside Europe.
