FBI captures robbery suspect on Most Wanted Fugitives list

DENVER -- A man authorities consider one of the most violent bank robbers in Colorado history has been arrested, less than a month after he was added to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

The FBI said 25-year-old Myloh Jaqory Mason was arrested at a suburban Denver motel Friday.

The agency said Mason and two other men in skeleton masks brutalized tellers during a Nov. 18 robbery before breaking into a man's house, shooting him and driving off in his minivan. Investigators say the men crashed the van and shot a woman while trying to steal her car.

The trio also is accused of wearing masks from the movie "Scream" during a Sept. 30 robbery in which they shoved guns in tellers' faces. All three suspects have now been arrested.

"The capture of this dangerous felon means our community is safer, because we believe Mason would have continued committing violent crimes while he was on the run," said FBI Denver Division Special Agent in Charge Thomas Ravenelle. "I thank each of the task force members for their hard work and commitment, as they worked day and night to get him behind bars."

CBS affiliate KCNC reported Mason was arrested on charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, attempted second-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault and second-degree assault in Jefferson County. He also faces a federal charge of convicted felon in possession of a ballistic vest.

The other suspects in the crime spree are Miguel David Sanders, 28, and Tyrone Javonne Richardson, 31. They have been arrested and remain in custody.

According to court documents, Mason has been tied to at least six bank robberies, all similar in nature to the November robbery.

Mason was the 505th person to be placed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list on Dec. 17, 2015. The reward for tips leading to his arrest was set at $100,000 but since a public tip did not lead to the arrest, the FBI says no reward money will be paid out.
