Father and daughter arrested after Texas bank robbery

JOHNSON COUNTY, Texas -- A father and daughter are in custody following a bank robbery and lengthy chase that reached speeds of 150 mph in a south Dallas suburb, reports CBS DFW.

Michael Dwayne Bailey, 41 was charged with aggravated robbery and evading, reports the station, and his daughter, Megan Lynn Bailey, 19 was charged with aggravated robbery.

According to the station, Johnson County Emergency Management says a bank robbery suspect out of Grandview led police and deputies on a high speed chase Thursday afternoon that ended in Mansfield.

Law enforcement officials report that Grandview police responded to a call about an armed robbery at the Grandview Bank, and when they saw a suspect vehicle, they began their pursuit, reports the station. Additional authorities joined the chase, which reportedly reached speeds of 150 mph.

According to station, police say the suspects were taken into custody after the vehicle crashed into some trees in Mansfield. A handgun and other firearms were allegedly recovered from the vehicle.

The suspects were taken to the Johnson County Jail, reports the station. The FBI is investigating the bank robbery.
