Exclusive clip from new Sean Penn documentary, "The Human Experiment"
Sean Penn is a behind a new documentary that explores potential dangers of toxic chemicals in household products.
Called "The Human Experiment," the film calls into question thousands of untested chemicals in everyday products and how they could be contributing to health issues -- ranging from cancer to infertility.
Penn, 54, both executive produced and narrated the doc, alongside Emmy Award-winning journalists and filmmakers Dana Nachman and Don Hardy. This marks the third collaboration for Nachman, Hardy and Penn, who's known for his activism on a variety of issues.
It follows an unlikely group of activists, including Howard, a conservative businessman, and Maria, a Latina house cleaner.
According to the film's description, activists "go head-to-head with the powerful chemical industry in order to get safer regulations around these chemicals."
The doc, which previously made the rounds at several film festivals, will debut Friday in theaters and online.
