Ex-Disney hotel worker wanted to trade tickets for sex with teen
SANTA ANA, Calif. -- A former Disney hotel dishwasher has been sentenced to a year in jail for trying to trade Disneyland tickets for sex with a 14-year-old girl.
CBS Los Angeles reported Darreck Enciso, 27, of Adelanto pleaded guilty Friday to an attempted lewd act upon a child, contacting a child with the intent to commit a specified sex crime and contacting a minor with the intent to engage in lewd conduct, all felonies, the Orange County District Attorney's office said.
Authorities say in July, Enciso posted a Craigslist ad seeking sex in exchange for tickets to the Southern California theme park.
Prosecutors say he arranged a tryst with a Huntington Beach police officer who was posing online as a 14-year-old girl.
Enciso was carrying condoms and the tickets when he was arrested.
He was fired immediately.
Enciso's sentence includes five years of formal probation and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration.
