Erykah Badu interrupts live TV news report on Shia LaBeouf

Erykah Badu couldn't keep her hands to herself during a surprise TV appearance.

The "Window Seat" singer disrupted a live news broadcast Friday morning on the streets of New York, as KPIX11's Mario Diaz was reporting on Shia LaBeouf's recent Broadway arrest.

In the video, which has since gone viral on sites like Vine and Twitter, Badu can be seen making obscene gestures behind Diaz, who at first seems oblivious to the singer. Later on, Badu tries to kiss the reporter, who pushes her away and says "excuse me" before continuing on with his report.

Badu initially denied appearing in the clip shortly after it began making the rounds online.

She later 'fessed up on Friday night and apologized to Diaz on Twitter:

The reporter didn't seem to mind the video bombing:

Over the weekend, Badu appeared with Dave Chappelle for a concert at New York's Radio City Music Hall and performed during a Brooklyn block party event celebrating the 25th anniversary of Spike Lee's classic film, "Do the Right Thing."
