"Entourage" cast to present Mark Wahlberg with MTV's Generation Award
This year's MTV Generation Award is going to Mark Wahlberg.
The special occasion will serve as a reunion by the cast of HBO's "Entourage" who will present Wahlberg with the lifetime achievement honor.
The 2014 MTV Movie Awards will mark see Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara reunite leading up to next year's "Entourage" movie.
"Mark Wahlberg is the definition of a modern day Renaissance Man: from Dirk Diggler to 'The Departed,' 'The Basketball Diaries' to 'Ted,' 'Entourage' to 'The Fighter,' in front of the camera and behind -- he's done it all and he's always memorable," Stephen Friedman, president of MTV, said in a statement. "Mark has captivated the MTV audience for over 20 years, and for this rare feat, we're proud to recognize him with this year's Generation Award."
Wahlberg, 42, will next be seen in "Transformers: Age of Extinction," which hits theaters on June 27.
Previous honorees of the MTV's Generation Award include Jamie Foxx, Johnny Depp, Reese Witherspoon, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Sandra Bullock, Tom Cruise and Jim Carrey.
"American Hustle" and "The Wolf of Wall Street" lead the pack of nominees this year with eight nods apiece. "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" follows with seven nominations, and the comedy "We're The Millers" has six.
Conan O'Brien will host the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, set to air live April 13 at 9:00 p.m. ET on MTV.
