Emmy Awards 2016: Kids from "Stranger Things" steal the show

They weren’t up for any awards, but the kids from “Stranger Things” stole the show at the 68th Emmy Awards on Sunday.

Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Millie Bobby Brown, who are cast members of the nostalgic supernatural show, banded together on the red carpet in their finest evening wear, but they later ditched their clothes for their “Stranger Things” costumes.

They quickly became the most popular stars at the Emmys when they handed out peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in character (on bikes, too) to audience members. Host Jimmy Kimmel, who claimed his mother made the sandwiches, cracked that the attendees must have been very hungry after not eating since Labor Day.

The hit Netflix show was not eligible to win any awards this year, but we get the feeling Matarazzo, McLaughlin and Brown might make a comeback to the Emmys next year.
