Eminem slams Trump supporters on new track teasing new album
Eminem is back -- and he’s clearly no fan of Donald Trump.
The “Slim Shady” rapper hasn’t released a solo album since 2013’s “The Marshall Mathers LP 2,” though he’s popped up on other artists’ tracks from time to time. But now’s he’s back, releasing a new track -- that runs nearly eight minutes long -- attacking Donald Trump, the GOP nominees supporters, George Zimmerman, his own critics and a slew of others in a free-association rap over a strikingly minimalist track.
“Don’t worry I’m working on an album!” the rapper tweeted Wednesday, including a link to the new song. “Here’s something meanwhile.”
In the new track, dubbed “Campaign Speech,” Eminem lashes out at Trump specifically in one verse:
“Consider me a dangerous man/ But you should be afraid of this dang candidate/ You say Trump don’t kiss ass like a puppet?/ ‘Cause he runs his campaign with his own cash for the funding?/ And that’s what you wanted?/ A f**kin’ loose cannon who’s blunt with his hand on the button/ Who doesn’t have to answer to no one?/ Great idea!”
He also briefly goes after Trump’s supporters, rapping, “Run the faucet/ I’m a dunk a bunch of Trump supporters underwater/ Snuck up on ‘em in Ray-Bans in a gray van with a spray tan.”
He doesn’t appear to mention Hillary Clinton in the track.
