Bernie Sanders: The debate - is it him v. Hillary Clinton?

"[I]t's not. It's about the collapse of the American middle class. It's about massive levels of income and wealth inequality. It's about a corrupt campaign and finance system that allows billionaires to buy elections. I have a lot of respect for Hillary Clinton and I hope we're going to have a serious debate tonight about the serious issues facing our country." -- interviewed by Jim Acosta on CNN

Jim Webb: The one issue he wants to talk about

"I think I have a strong record of leadership. It goes across party lines at a time people are really needing that in our country." -- interviewed by Jim Acosta on CNN

Donald Trump: What he's spent on his campaign so far: "very little"

"Honestly, very little - it's like a couple million dollars or something. I had earmarked to this point in a budget about $20 million. I spent zero on advertising because you and Fox and all of the others, I won't mention names, but every other network, they cover me a lot, to put it mildly....I've spent the least money and I have the best poll numbers." -- interviewed on Fox News' "Your World with Neil Cavuto"

Seizing on reports from conservative websites, businessman Donald Trump accused the Jeb Bush campaign of planting a young woman at his speech during the No Labels presidential forum Monday. The woman, identified as Lauren Batchelder, said to Trump, "maybe you can prove me wrong but I don't think you're a friend to woman," she said. "I knew I shouldn't have picked her, Trump responded. He went on to say he respects women and cited the positions they have held at his company.

"I want to get paid the same as a man...if you become president, will a woman make the same as a man and do I get to choose what I do with my body?" she asked.

"You're going to make the same if you do as good a job, and I happen to be pro-life, ok?" Trump said.

Bush spokeswoman Allie Brandenburger said in a statement, "Like many in NH, Lauren is a student at St. A's who is passionate about and active in politics and attended this event on her own accord. While this question was not sanctioned by the campaign, we can't help but notice Mr. Trump does seem to be very sensitive about being challenged by women."

The young woman has volunteered at events for both Bush and other candidates in New Hampshire.
