"Dumb and Dumber To" trailer unveiled by Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels on "Tonight Show"
The Shaggin' Wagon is back in service.
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels made a joint guest appearance Tuesday on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" to debut the first official trailer for their upcoming comedy "Dumb and Dumber To."
The sequel, from sibling filmmakers Bobby and Peter Farrelly, comes exactly 20 years after the original became a box office smash and cult hit. "Dumb and Dumber" centered on nitwits Harry (Daniels) and Lloyd (Carrey) as they traveled cross-country in search of the owner of a money-filled briefcase. Turns out Lloyd has been pretending to be in a catatonic state for the last two decades ever since the end of the first film. He snaps out of it just in time for another road trip adventure.
In the sequel, they find themselves in search of Harry's adult daughter who they never knew existed, and might potentially have a kidney that would save Harry's life. The follow-up also stars Kathleen Turner and former "The Walking Dead" cast member Laurie Holden as the film's main villain. "Hunger Games" and "American Hustle" actress Jennifer Lawrence will be portraying a younger version of Turner's character -- the mother of Harry's child.
The Farrelly Brothers have returned as directors with Sean Anders ("Hot Tub Time Machine," "We're The Millers") serving as screenwriter.
