Donald Trump weighs in on Miss Universe mix-up
Donald Trump on Monday morning suggested the mix-up at the Miss Universe pageant a night earlier would have never happened if he were still in charge.
Very sad what happened last night at the Miss Universe Pageant. I sold it 6 months ago for a record price. This would never have happened!

And, on NBC's "Today Show," he proposed a shared tiara between Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines. "What happened to the girl from Colombia is devastating," Trump said. "To give it to her for a couple of minutes and then take it away...I would recommend that they go have a beautiful ceremony, which is good for the brand and good for Miss Universe, and do a co-winner. I think something like that could work."
Trump, the GOP presidential frontrunner, sold the Miss Universe Organization in September to the WME/IMG agency after buying the company for $10 million in 1996.
On Sunday night, host Steve Harvey accidentally said that Miss Colombia won the Miss Universe pageant. But a few minutes after she was crowned, Harvey returned to the stage to apologize and said that it was Miss Philippines, in fact, who had won.
Harvey apologized on Twitter, although he initially misspelled the countries that the contestants are from and corrected the tweet.
I'd like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake. I feel terrible.
