Dakota Johnson takes mom Melanie Griffith as date to Oscars
Dakota Johnson brought her mother, Melanie Griffith, as her date to the Oscars this year - and the two had a fun little banter on the red carpet about box-office topper "Fifty Shades of Grey."
"I am a very proud mom," Griffith, 57, said, though she noted that she hasn't seen her daughter's film yet.
Things got a bit awkward as they talked about the BDSM movie co-starring Jamie Dornan -- with Griffith saying she doesn't need to see the erotic movie because she knows her daughter is a good actress.
The 25-year-old Johnson, whose father is former "Miami Vice" star Don Johnson, wore an red Saint Laurent gown with a high slit.
This wasn't the first time Johnson and her mom walked the red carpet together. They also attended the 2000 show:
