Texas man suspected of lighting father, son on fire during argument

HOUSTON --A suspect accused of setting a man and his son on fire at their Houston home Monday has been taken into custody, reports CBS affiliate KHOU.

The son, 46-year-old Dexter Taylor, later died at a hospital. His father Kirby Taylor, an 67-year-old attorney, was burned over 30 percent of his body and is being treated at a hospital.

Based on information the elder Taylor gave police, 32-year-old Curtis Holliman was arrested and charged with murder in the younger Taylor's death, the station reports.

The incident happened Monday morning when Holliman reportedly got into an argument with the father and son at their home. Holliman allegedly said, "You think that's funny? I'll give you something to laugh about," before dousing the two men in gasoline and using a lighter to set them on fire, KHOU reports, citing court documents.

Neighbors told the station the elder Taylor used a garden hose to try and douse the flames engulfing his son's body. Firefighters responded and discovered both victims on the floor of the home.

An arson dog reportedly picked up on traces of gasoline at the home Monday.
