"Curb Your Enthusiasm" is coming back to HBO for a ninth season
Good news, fans of incredibly awkward social interactions. Larry David's award-winning "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is coming back to HBO.
The cable network announced Tuesday that David's comedy series will return for a ninth season after a five-year lull. "We're thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of 'Curb' and can't wait to see what he has planned," said HBO programing president Casey Bloys said.
"Curb Your Enthusiam" has already aired 80 episodes, making it HBO's longest-running scripted series. No details were given on when the ninth season would go into production or premiere.
Asked why he decided to come back, David said in a statement, "In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, 'I left, I did nothing, I returned.'"
