Craig Strickland's wife says search area cut by 50 percent
Craig Strickland's wife continues to update fans on the search to find her husband, who went missing earlier this week.
The 29-year-old lead singer of Backroad Anthem went missing Sunday while duck hunting with his friend Chase Morland during severe weather in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since then, authorities have been looking for Strickland along a lake in northern Oklahoma.
In her latest update, Helen -- a former Miss Arkansas -- says the search area has been cut by 50 percent. She took to Twitter early Friday with the latest:
As the days go on, Helen continues to pray and thank her family and friends for their support during the rough time: She wrote a lengthy post on Instagram Friday, saying, "Thank you to my sweet friends for being there for me during one of my rougher days. You left everything to be there with me and I couldn't have made it to this point without you. You make me laugh when I wanted to just sit and cry. Thank you to friends who have offered to come. I appreciate the love you have sent. Thank you everyone for all of your continued prayers and support. Your prayers have helped get me through another day. Still searching. Love you all."
Earlier this week, authorities recovered Morland's body from the lake where their boat capsized. Prior to the hunting trip Morland tweeted: "In case we don't come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm"
