Coachella organizers want mega-show with Dylan, the Stones, the Who and Paul McCartney

How much would you pay to see Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, a Beatle, the Who, Neil Young and Pink Floyd's Roger Waters all on one stage? The world may be about to find out.

Organizers of the hugely successful Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival -- which kicks off this weekend with headlining acts including Guns n Roses and LCD Soundsystem -- have something even bigger up their sleeves: a mega-concert featuring the biggest acts of 1960s rock and roll.

According to the L.A. Times, concert promoter Goldenvoice is putting the finishing touches on agreements for a three-night concert set for this fall featuring performances by Dylan and the Rolling Stones on Oct. 7, Paul McCartney and Young on Oct. 8 and Waters and the Who on Oct. 9, with all of the performances taking place at Coachella's home, the Empire Polo Field site in Indio.

The six legendary acts -- all Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees -- have never shared a bill. "It's so special in so many ways," Neil Young's manager, Elliot Roberts, told the newspaper. "You won't get a chance to see a bill like this, perhaps ever again. It's a show I look forward to more than any show in a long time."

Reactions to the news have been mixed, with many on social media immediately making use of the jokingly coined name "Oldchella."
