Doctors give health update on NFL player's daughter

Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still says his daughter is now cancer-free after undergoing treatment for the disease.

Tuesday night, Still posted an Instagram message showing him and daughter Leah smiling and flexing their muscles with the good news.

"We got Leah's MIBG Scans back tonight and the doctors told us they didn't see any active disease in her body!!!" Still wrote.

Leah has been fighting Stage 4 neuroblastoma, a rare type of cancer that typically afflicts children.

According to the National Institutes of Health, MBIG (metaiodobenzylguanidine) scans use small amounts of radioactive compounds to locate and diagnose tumors.

The Bengals have offered strong support to the Stills family, signing Devon to their practice squad after he'd been cut in training camp so that he could keep his health insurance.

The team has also sold 15,000 replicas of his number 75 jersey and donated more that $1 million to fight pediatric cancer.

Leah's tumor was removed last fall, but doctors had only given her a 50-50 chance of beating the cancer.

In his Instagram post Tuesday, Still said the family is still awaiting results of MRI and bone biopsy tests, but said doctors are optimistic.
