Texas woman who vanished from parking garage still missing

PLANO, Texas -- Two months later, a Fort Worth woman vanished from a popular Plano shopping and dining development is still missing.

Christina Marie Morris, 23, was last seen Aug. 30 after spending a night out with friends. She was last seen walking into a parking garage at The Shops at Legacy at about 4 a.m. that Saturday morning, reported CBS DFW.

A candlelight vigil is planned for 7 p.m. Thursday near The Shops at Legacy to mark the somber anniversary, reports DallasNews.com.

Friends and family reportedly didn't realize she was missing until she didn't show up for work Sept. 2 after the Labor Day weekend. Her silver Toyota Celica was found unmoved, still parked in the garage.

Surveillance video shows Morris and a friend walking together in a parking garage. The friend walked towards his car as Morris walked towards hers, investigators told the station.

Detectives questioned and released the friend, a Plano Police spokesman told the station in September.

Crews and volunteers have combed the area for any sign of the woman, and last month, the FAA approved the use of a drone in the search after an emergency authorization. Volunteers have also scoured the area on foot, horseback and in ATVs.

Still, there's been no sign of Morris.

Police say there's no evidence a crime has been committed, reports Dallasnews.com. However, friends and family reportedly say the woman would never be out of touch with friends and family for so long and fear something has happened to her.

Morris is 5 feet 4 inches, 95 pounds and has brown hair with blonde highlights. A $25,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case, if a crime has been committed, reports Dallasnews.com.
