Child rape suspect Michael Craig Gervais, "most wanted" in Tenn., captured in La.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- A suspected child sex predator who had recently been added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations’ “Top Ten Most Wanted” list is in custody after being captured in Louisiana Thursday night, according to the agency.

Michael Craig Gervais was wanted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department and the TBI on one count of rape of a child and three counts of attempted child neglect, reports CBS affiliate WVLT.

Before his capture, agents said Gervais was last seen near Chattanooga, and warned the public that he was armed and dangerous. The 49-year-old was added to the TBI’s “Most Wanted” list on Tuesday.
