Cher compares Donald Trump to Hitler, Stalin at fundraiser
Cher on Sunday invoked Hitler and Stalin during remarks at a Hillary Clinton fundraiser in Massachusetts while talking about Donald Trump.
The singer brought up “old despots” like the two dictators at the event in Provincetown, according to video uploaded by Mediaite and The New York Times that was shared by an attendee.
Cher said Hitler and Stalin “said the same things...We’re going to make Germany great again.”
She called Trump a “f***ing idiot” and continued to bash the GOP presidential nominee.
“He doesn’t mean we’re going to make America great again,” she said, adding that he means, “We want to make American straight and white.”
“I know that if he got into office, our world would be the worst place,” she said. “I don’t think we could imagine how bad it could get.”
She also praised Clinton, saying, “This chick is just tougher than Chinese algebra” and “I know that she will work every moment of every day.”
