Chelsea Handler on Donald Trump: “He’s not a real person”
Chelsea Handler doesn’t mince words when it comes to President-elect Donald Trump.
Handler has previously made her feelings about Trump’s candidacy and election perfectly clear -- beginning the day after Election Day.
“Honestly, I got up that day and I was so upset. It was the worst feeling I think I’ve ever felt,” Chandler said during a “Daily Show” interview with Trevor Noah on Thursday. “It was worse than even the worst breakup I’ve ever had.”
Handler made headlines when she teared up during the first post-election taping of her Netflix talk show.
“I wasn’t thinking anything,” she told Noah. “I was just like, ‘How am I going to get though this without crying on TV?’ And then I did cry on TV, and you know what? Good. I’m glad I cried. I was really upset.”
Handler is still trying to wrap her mind around the results and the actions of people who voted for Trump.
“I understand if you don’t like Hillary. I get that. I totally get it,” she said. “But forget about if you like her or not. Look at what she’s done. Then you need to get behind that woman whether you like her or not. You get behind somebody that’s done the job versus some guy who... I mean, I can’t even discuss him in real terms. He’s not a real person. He takes advantage of everyone around him.”
