Celebrities react to the death of Florence Henderson
Despite the festive holiday, many stars took a break from their Thanksgiving celebrations to express their sadness at the news of the passing of Florence Henderson.
The “Brady Bunch” star died Thursday at the age of 82.
From her iconic television family, the actors who played Henderson’s eldest son and daughter -- Barry Williams and Maureen McCormick, who played Greg and Marcia Brady -- were quick to pay tribute to their late co-star.
“Deeply saddened,” Williams tweeted Friday. “Florence was one of the most gracious people I have ever known, Proud to call her Mom and life long friend.”
McCormick posted a pair of messages, along with a sweet photo of her with Henderson. “Florence Henderson was a dear friend for so very many years & in my [heart] forever,” she tweeted. “Love & hugs to her family. I’ll miss u dearly.”

But Henderson’s passing was felt outside of her cast-mates, as the TV mom left a lasting impression on co-stars and fans across the entertainment spectrum, from Rosie O’Donnell and Seth MacFarlane to “Weird” Al Yankovic and RuPaul.
