CBS Broadcast Center evacuated after threat

NEW YORK -- The CBS Broadcast Center was briefly evacuated Wednesday night due to a bomb threat, but no danger was discovered.

The New York Police Department asked employees to leave the building in Midtown Manhattan at around 9:15 p.m. In addition to CBS News, the Broadcast Center is home to CBS Radio and affiliate CBS New York.

Staffers waited across the street for about an hour until being given the all-clear, following a sweep of the building by the NYPD.

No further details about the threat were provided.
