Catching Dzhokhar Tsarnaev
Nearly two years ago, the two explosions that tore through the Boston Marathon were like a starting gun on a second race -- against time. Unknown terrorists were on the loose, and they had more bombs.
Hear the inside story from the federal investigators who ran the manhunt and led a task force of more than 1,000 federal agents, state police, and Boston cops in a search that resulted in the arrest of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Tsarnaev was convicted Wednesday in the deadly bombings that killed three and wounded 264.
Pelley's report "Manhunt" -- in the above video player -- aired almost one year after the terror attacks and included an interview with then-FBI special agent Rick DesLauriers, former head of the FBI in Boston.
In reaction to Wednesday's verdict, DesLauriers said:
"I am very satisfied by the verdict. My thoughts and prayers and heart continues to go out to the victims of the bombings, to those who lost their lives and all those grievously injured. I hope it brings a measure of closure to those tragically impacted by the bombings. At long last justice has been served in this long, complex and painful investigation."
