California man accused of stabbing grandmother, aunt

GILROY, Calif. -- A 20-year-old man is accused of killing his grandmother and injuring his aunt in a double stabbing earlier this month, reports CBS affiliate KION.

Police say Margarita Subia, 83, died this week as a result of injuries sustained during the Oct. 5 attack. Investigators reportedly believed that grandson Stephen Gause-Subia stabbed his grandmother and aunt and arrested him the same day of the incident.

The suspect's aunt is still in the hospital, police told the station.

Investigators are still trying to determine what led to the attack.

Gause-Subia is reportedly facing one charge of murder for the death of his grandmother and a count of attempted murder for the assault on his aunt, reports CBS affiliate KION.
