Tuesday is World Heart Day, dedicated to reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease ... the world's leading cause of death.


Wednesday midnight is the deadline for Congress to pass a new funding bill or else face a government shutdown.


Thursday is the 80th birthday of Dame Julie Andrews, who won an Oscar for her role in "Mary Poppins" and was a Kennedy Center Honoree in 2001.
