Tuesday marks the 60th anniversary of the arrest of Rosa Parks for refusing to give up her seat to a white man on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. Her arrest was the impetus for the modern civil rights movement.

Wednesday's the night for an all-star concert honoring the 100th birthday of Frank Sinatra. Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga are among the headliners at the concert which will be broadcast on CBS a week from tonight.

Thursday sees the lighting of the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse in Washington, D.C.
On Friday, the March of Dimes holds its annual Celebration of Babies Luncheon in Los Angeles. It's part of a campaign to prevent birth defects, premature births and infant mortality.
And Saturday is International Volunteer Day, established by the U.N. to recognize individuals around the world who volunteer their time, energies and skills.
