Calendar: Week of March 23

Here's a look at the week ahead on our "Sunday Morning" Calendar:

On Monday, an exhibition of artifacts of President Lincoln's assassination opens at Ford's Theater in Washington. Items include Lincoln's top hat and John Wilkes Booth's pistol.

Tuesday is World TB Day, a reminder that tuberculosis still kills nearly 1.5 million people worldwide every year.

Wednesday is National Medal of Honor Day, marking the anniversary of the first presentation of the medal on this date in 1863.

Thursday sees the start of the "Sweet 16" round of college basketball's March Madness.

On Friday, a photographic portrait of the late comedian George Carlin is unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery. Carlin beat out Groucho Marx and Ellen DeGeneres for the honor in an online vote.

And, stick around: Saturday is Something On A Stick Day, a day for celebrating . . . and eating . . . any kind of food that can be served on a stick!
