Caleb Logan Bratayley dies of "undetected medical condition"
The Bratayley family has revealed that their 13-year-old son, Caleb Logan, died from an undetected medical condition.
The YouTube-famous family members asked fans to focus on Caleb's life instead of his death, but they did say that their son was pronounced dead on Thursday after the Anne Arundel County Police Department responded to a medical emergency at their home in Maryland.
The family originally said that Caleb had died of natural causes.
On Monday night, on Instagram, the family wrote more on his death, and explained that they will live-stream his memorial. They also promised that they will provide more details when they have them.
"Caleb's death has raised many questions about how and why this could happen to a seemingly healthy boy," wrote Caleb's mom, Katie. "Sadly, tests have confirmed today that Caleb passed away from an undetected medical condition. We'll have more definitive answers in the coming weeks but ask that you help us celebrate his life instead of focus on his death. Due to an outpouring of support and people's hope to be part of his memorial, we have decided to live-stream the ceremony tomorrow at 8pm EDT. Additional information below. Thank you for all your kindness during this difficult time.
The Bratayleys first broke the news about Caleb's death on Friday, when Katie wrote: "Yesterday at 7:08 p.m. Caleb Logan Bratayley passed away of natural causes. This has come as a shock to all of us. Words cannot describe how much we will miss him. His incredibly funny, loving and wonderful spirit made us all fall in love with him as a YouTuber, friend, brother and son. We know you tune in to watch each day and eagerly anticipate new videos, but ask that you bear with us while we deal with this tragedy as a family."
The family also posted a video to honor Caleb's life.
