Bubba Watson is taking the Confederate flag off his "General Lee"
Amid a growing controversy over the Confederate flag, the "General Lee" is getting a paint job - at least the one owned by pro golfer Bubba Watson.
The two-time Masters champ took to Twitter to announce a makeover of the iconic car from the 1980s TV hit "The Dukes of Hazzard."

In 2012, NASCAR banned Watson's plan to drive the "General Lee" at Phoenix International Raceway over concerns about a negative reaction to an image of the Confederate flag on its roof.
Reruns of the 1980s action comedy were pulled this week by the TV Land network. Warner Bros., which produced the series, last week halted production of toy replicas of the car, the 1969 Dodge Charger stock car driven by rambunctious Southern cousins Luke and Bo.
Retailers including Walmart and eBay have stopped selling merchandise bearing reproductions of the flag.
Last month's massacre at a historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina, touched off fevered criticism of the rebel flag. The man police charged with the attack, Dylann Roof, posted photos online showing him burning a U.S. flag and holding a Confederate flag, along with a manifesto laying out hatred of minorities.
